Accessibility Statement
Building an inclusive, easy-to-use digital experience for every visitor is central to what Rennie Teaches does.
We continually work to make our site and its content usable by people of all abilities.
Our goal is to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Levels A and AA, along with the European standard EN 301 549, so the site works well for as many people as possible.
How We Approach Accessibility
Accessibility is considered at every stage of building this site, from design through development and quality checks, so it can be used comfortably via keyboard, screen reader, screen magnification, or mobile device. This includes:
- Reviewing new content ahead of publishing to catch and fix potential accessibility issues early.
- Including captions and full transcripts alongside any video content.
- Checking that every interactive element can be operated with a keyboard alone and shows a visible focus indicator.
- Confirming that content reads well and works properly with screen reader software.
- Writing link text that clearly describes where a link leads.
- Choosing colour combinations with strong contrast for readability.
- Checking how content displays across different screen sizes and zoom levels.
